6 Sentence Writing 

Once upon a time, there lived a surprisingly diminutive Yeti. He lived high in the Himalayas in a cabin built out of sticks and branches. Although he was small he had an unusual talent, he was able to change his size based on his mood (angry bigger & happy smaller). One day the Yeti was strolling along the snow and he slipped in a hole and got stuck. The Yeti got really angry and began to expand due to his expertise. Then Yeti realised he has a unique talent, so he thought of something which made him smile and he gradually decreased in size and emerged out of the hole.

Writing Goals:

What are my strengths in writing?

Some of my strengths in writing is using descriptive words & using the right punctuation in my writing.  

What are my next steps in writing?

Linking my work to society, the world & other texts.

Where would I like to be at the end of Yr 9?

I would like to be at the Level 6 Merit or Excellence. 

How am I going to enable myself to reach this goal? 

 I will work harder by doing all my English homework, have a good attitude towards English & generally work harder.

What am I learning?

I am learning to recognize my strengths and what I need to work on.

How does this work show my learning?

This shows my learning because I have written what my strengths are and what I need to improve in English.

Social Studies - Paragraph - National Party

Democracy is a system that New Zealand use's, where the citizens of the country vote who they think can lead the country successfully. New Zealand's citizens have two votes. The first vote is for the local representative, who can represent the local community. Then the second vote is for the national representative, where citizens vote who can lead the country successfully. Last year using the voting system New Zealand citizens voted for the Labour party. 

My Writing Goal For 2018

My writing goal for Punctuation:
Right now for my punctuation, I am at 4 
to improve I need to use more comma's but properly. Use question marks when they are needed and use explanation marks to express feelings.

My writing goal for Vocabulary:
Right now for my vocabulary, I am at 4 
to improve I need to make my reader interested in what I am writing and to use words that explain how your feeling.

My writing goal for Organisation:
Right now for my organization, I am at 5
to improve I need to focus on one idea in one paragraph.

My writing goal for Sentence Structure:
Right now for my Sentence Structure, I am at 4
to improve I need to make sure I chose the right sentence to show the reader what I want them to know or how I want them to feel.

My writing goal for Structure & Language:
Right now for my structure & language I am at 3
to improve I need to try to match all my writing with the reason I am writing.

My writing goal for Ideas:
Right now for my Ideas, I am at 3
to improve I need to write more Ideas and make sure each Idea has lot's of information.
