Reflection : Market Day

Reflection On Market Day

3 Things that went well?
One thing that went well was the business plan. Everything was organised and we had planned how we were going to do things. This was very helpful on the day. Secondly, the advertisements. All the advertisements we put up at school or either shared online were very eye-catching. This helped draw our customers in. Lastly, the market day itself it was very successful and we ended up with over 150 dollars.

3 things that did not go well?
One thing that did not go well was the doughnut maker. It didn't rise and the shape was flat. However, we were able to resolve this issue. Another thing that did not go well was the chocolate fountain this was because we used thin chocolate sauce instead of a thick sauce. Lastly, we were not able to sell out this lead our group to give it out for free. Even after these incidents, we are still proud of what we have produced.

3 things you would change if done again?
Something I would change would be buying fewer toppings because people prefered the original doughnut or churro by themselves. Another would be raising the prices because many bundles were very popular. Lastly, would be wearing chef hats to look even more presentable.

Business and Enterprise - Money 💰

Money

In Business and Enterprise, we are learning about the history of money ( Coins, Paper Money or Bartering ). In this post, I am going to write about 3 forms of money one form ancient history, one from the 20th century and 21st century.

The Three Forms :

Something that I think will pop up in the future is thumb recognition which then you can pay for something. It might be just like paywave but with your thumb.

Business And Enterprise

What are we learning:
I am learning to work collaboratively.
Working collaboratively with other I need to:

  1. Listen to other people's idea's.
  2. Taking responsibility for parts of the task and seeing these through to completion.
  3. To listen to others advice
  4. Being Flexible
  5. Being a positive person within my company.
HOW AM I PROGRESSING :
So far i think i am working well with my peers and gaining advice from others. I think I am listening to other people's idea's by not talking while they are talking and letting everyone share their idea's.I think I am taking responsibility for part of my work and letting everyone in my group a chance to do tasks. I think am letting everyone speak and giving everyone a chance to share idea's. I think I am being flexible and solving problems with my group. I think a I being a positive person because when we have problem within the company I try to solve it and soon as possible.
JPEG ImageWhat has the company done so far:
We have completed 12 -14 Popsicle stick frames so far and if we complete a few more we will have enough money to pay back Mrs elley. My company is planning to make 24 -28 so we can make profit for our business. We have struggled with getting our hot glue gun sticks from Mrs Gibson and then we solved the problem by asking someone from our group to see if you have some at home. Luckily 1 person from our group had hot glue sticks.
WHAT IS THE COMPANIES NEXT STEP:
The companies next step is to make enough products to make profit. To help my peers with company work.
WHAT DO I EXPECT ON MARKET DAY:
I expect that we should be able to make profit and all our products should be sold out.

ADVERTISING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ethos:
Ethos is to put an add up showing people who you trust. In that way they are persuading you to buy the product. They also put up pictures or video's of people who we trust. That makes people want to buy your product.

Logos
Logos is using facts, surveys and statistics to show people that this is what other people have said about this product. They also use historical events and recorded data to convince you to buy the product. When you are using logos they use words that don't really mean anything but they sound factual.

Pathos
Pathos is using emotional ads to get you feeling sad, happy or worried about something. They use your feelings so they can get you to buy there product.

Business Through Games

What are we learning : 1. Produce a product for sale. 2. Run a profitable business. 3. Explain the roles that business and enterprise has within society.
What games did you play: I played Gumption,Trading around the world and the small business game.
What did you enjoy/not enjoy about them: I enjoyed gumption and Trading around the world because I had enjoyed playing in groups and you could play the Trading game at home which I really liked.I didn't enjoy the small business game because it was very hard to notify where all the things were.
What challenges did you face in each game:
GUMPTION: My challenge that I faced was that I had no money left in the end which was hard.
THE SMALL BUSINESS GAME: My challenge was that it was really hard to find where things were.
TRADING AROUND THE WORLD: It was hard because I was losing my resources in the end.
What have you learnt about running business and trade: It is hard because you have to order stock and go to meetings and hire people. Which takes a long time.
What Are You Wondering: I am wondering how much money you can make in gumption.
