Great, I see a hole we can, dump her in there" comments Amy in a thankful voice. " Responsibility, you are responsible for this not me,"  says Zoe, as she runs away.

THIS IS MY LIFE

In the year 2004 ( 10th December ) I was born. I was born in Lautoka, Fiji. After 3 years my sister, Risha was born. Then In 2010, I moved to Dunedin from Fiji but only stayed there for 2 years, because it was so cold. Even though it was cold, I loved it there and remember a lot of memories. Afterwards my family moved to Christchurch, I started going to Hornby Primary School. I enjoyed my primary school. Then I carried on into Hornby High School. While in Christchurch, I traveled Brisbane, Gold Coast and Fiji 3 times. This is my life up until now.

Horror Camping Trip Gone Wrong

As Aira parks, the car near a large weeping willow, Anna and Mason jump out of the car and

begin unpacking the tent. Noah and Aira start getting out the bags packed with food. Soon Noah begins following a path and so we head along with him. Later we come to a halt as we notice a sign which designates a camping area. So we stop and start setting everything up.

Aira confronts nervously, " Wait, we are three miles away from the car, what if something bad happens in the night".

Mason replies, " What could possibly be so terrifying that we have to run three miles". 

Aira nods and continues unpacking the marshmallows for the smores.

Once they got everything assembled and ready, they begin to search logs for the campfire. ", I'll go get the branches and twigs for the campfire, Anna comes with me " shouts Mason as he starts running into the woods. Anna follows along. 

" Aira pass the marshmallows " yells Noah. Aira passes the marshmallows when she notices something strange. Noah has bite marks all over his hand and arm. 
" Noah, why do you have bite marks all over your arm", asks Aira apprehensively. At that same moment, Anna and Mason rush out of the woods and hide behind the tents. They both seem frightened but of what?
" What happened, and why are they no logs with you", anxiously queries Noah.
" We saw a zombie running towards us, so we ran as fast as we could until we saw you guys," says Anna. 

" Guys, I want to confess something" states Noah in a scared and serious approach.
We all look to him with surprise and think to themselves, what could be more important than zombies attempting to follow or even kill us.
Mason catches his breathe and answers  " What is it ?".
" I am a zombie" shouts Noah and starts to peel off a mask. We are all shocked and frightened so run as fast as we can towards out car but then.........
As we are running, out of nowhere 2 other zombies pop out of the trees. Mason grabs a zombies hand and yanks it out. The zombie faints and falls onto Anna which she then uses it as a shield. We see several zombies arriving behind us, as fast as we can we run towards the car and hop in.
" Lock all the doors, hurry up" yells Aira. Aira is sitting in the driver's seat horrified and shaking. Aira starts the car and drives as fast as she can out of the camping area, but soon in the boot, something begins to make groaning sounds...

Once upon a time, there lived a surprisingly diminutive Yeti. He lived high in the Himalayas in a cabin built out of sticks and branches. Although he was small he had an unusual talent, he was able to change his size based on his mood (angry bigger & happy smaller). One day the Yeti was strolling along the snow and he slipped in a hole and got stuck. The Yeti got really angry and began to expand due to his expertise. Then Yeti realised he has a unique talent, so he thought of something which made him smile and he gradually decreased in size and emerged out of the hole.

CARR Licence - English - Full

In English, we have been put in a card in these four categories: Learners, Restricted, Full & Expert.

Different categories have various outcomes. Fortunately, I am in Full which determines I have extra privileges than people below me. Unfortunately, if you don't meet the standards you fall down levels.

Full Means:  

I am able to make good decisions about my learning.

I can use my phone in class if I ask the teacher first.

I stay on task.

I can work appropriately with others.

I have all the equipment ready for learning.

I catch up on work if I have been dilatory and I reach deadlines.

I accept consequences for my actions.

If I get off task I can get back on without anyone telling me too.

How Can I Work?

I have increased control over my conditions of work.

I can only listen to work when asked.

I may use my phone with permission.

I control my toilet breaks.

I may use the kitchen area to fill up my water bottle.

Why do I think I am on a Full license?
I think this because I am organized and get my work done and I meet deadlines. My teachers trust me and due to that, I am on a Full license.

Wonder Work Part 8 - August

Explain August’s fears of going on school retreat/camp, were they justified?

Yes, they were justified, he is afraid to go because he has never been to a sleepover, August tried going to Christopher house and having a sleepover yet he missed his mother too much. He is partly excited and partly nervous.

Compare Eddie and Julian. How are they similar/ different. How do their interactions with August reveal their character?

Eddie is a bully who will say anything to August's face whereas, Julian will talk behind August back and tell people how defective he is but he won't confront it to him.

Explain how August's relationship with his classmates has changed since he first started going to Beecher Prep, give explains?

When he first came to Beecher Prep nobody talked to him everyone made up jokes to keep the distance from August. The only friends August had was Summer and Jack Will. After that everybody got used to nobody played games and everyone would interact with him. Soon I think they realized that the face doesn't matter it's the personality.

Describe how August has shown greatness during his year at Beecher Prep? Do you think he deserves the medal? Why?

August has shown greatness in numerous ways by not reacting to bullies and keeping his calm. He also showed empathy & kindness throughout the year which is why I think he deserves the medal, also to anyone August will make a good friend. He has shown commitment from the start to the end.

Compare the character of Auggie at the beginning of the book and in the final chapters. How has he changed and what has contributed to this change?

At the start of the book, August was a quiet and soft character and nobody understood him very well and thought his personality is just like his appearance. Soon August made friends and became more confident every time he went to school. His classmates got used him and acknowledged him as a person. August has matured as a person he has become used to primitive people around him and how to manage them.

Describe your favorite character in the story. Explain their impact on the story and why you picked them.

My favorite character is Summer, I like Summer because she is a kind and caring person and resembles like she will always have your back, and she has been nice to everyone including the bullies. Overall she is a good best friend for August & Jack.

This story explores the themes of; Friendship, Betrayal, Overcoming Challenges, Bullying and Family Relationships. Create a brainstorm web for each of these themes that shows what the story has told for each theme.

What do you think Auggie's future holds? What do you think will happen in his life?

I think his future will have mixed blessing, but reading the book I think he will be able to manage them.                                      AUGUST

Wonder Questions Part 7 - Miranda

Part 7:

1. Why did Miranda claim "sickness" before the play?

She did this because she knew her friends and family were not going to show up so gave it to Olivia because her family was going to come and watch her.

2. After reading Miranda's, how did your perception change and why?
It changed because after reading her section of the book you connect with her, and you find out she is only doing this to become popular. I felt sad for her since her mother and father don't even give her attention, she been lying to her friends the whole time about her family and the only people she feels safe with is Via's family ( Who she is not even talking too).

Wonder Questions - August - 245 - 274 - Part 6

Explain why August doesn't like school events that include parents?

He dislikes them because every time there is an event happening including parents, August says " Parents always stare at him even if they've seen before and he tries to ignore it but it annoys me too much.

Maya left August a nice little note and August said, "Six months ago stuff like that would have never have happened, but now it happens more and more." Explain the change that is occurring?

People are getting used to his face, and they don't care about the plague anymore. Also, they can see August is a nice person it's just his face that's different.

Describe August's feeling about getting hearing aids. Were they justified?

They were justified, he didn't want to get hearing aids because he said: " Anything to do with my ears bothers me a lot". Also, he doesn't want to wear hearing aids because they are too big, because he doesn't have outer ears he has to wear this big heavy duty headband.

Why did Via keep her part in the play a secret from her parents? Why did Via's mum say the play wasn't something that August would be interested in?

She didn't want August to come to the show because it will be like middle school again, where people make fun of her brother. Via's mum said that because she didn't want to tell August the whole situation again and she knew from Via's look she didn't want August to come.

August says, "I think there should be a rule that everyone in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their lives.” Explain what this means and why he believes it.

I think he said this because everyone has done something great in their life and they should be awarded for it, by a standing ovation, I assume he believes in it because some people don't get awarded for their effort.

What effect did Daisys’ death have on the characters?

It had a big effect on everyone, everyone loved her so much that it hurt them like losing an actual family member. Personally, I think this mostly affects Auggie and Via since they were the closest to daisy.
